Free website review

It is not about visitor numbers, sales or even what it looks like.

I have seen many free website reviews and they are often automated processes that tell you if your website is up to a technical standard, how many pages you have in the search engines etc. This is all useful as I use them myself. They don’t tell you the most important information though, which for a business website owner should be:

“is my website effective for my business?”

One definition of effective is "capable of producing an intended result". If your website is doing everything you expect of it then it is effective for you. If your expectations are limited due to lack of knowledge or experience then your business is not receiving all potential benefits available from your website and the Internet.

The purpose of the website review is to determine how effective your website is compared to your objectives and expectations and if there is undiscovered potential.

To say you have a 100% effective website for your business, you should as an absolute minimum:

"Be aware of all benefits it can provide"

You can spend a lot of time learning these or get someone like Internet Consultancy and Management Ltd to tell you about them. You are then better informed to use the Internet to help your business.
